Shmuel Charuvi was an Israeli painter, and a graduate of the Bezalel School of Art.
Charuvi's work is a documentary work. He documented the landscapes of Israel in the 1920's and 1930's and saw in the painting landscapes of the Land of Israel a historical mission documenting the landscapes that are disappearing from the world. Charuvi also worked on miniature watercolor and watercolor paintings, and excelled at the amazing accuracy of his paintings, in which he displayed the utmost control over the technique of drawing and painting.
