Benjamin Hassan was born in Gibraltar, (1976) where he started painting from a young age. His education was completed in York University Toronto, where  he attained a BA in Visual Arts. 
Since then, he ran a successful art studio in Gibraltar, and painting has become his full time vocation. Though he is mainly drawn to portraits and landscapes, he also creates custom judaica, ketubot and Megillot. 
In his paintings he tries to portray the personality and essence of the subject. Benjamins paintings are vivid and lifelike with an abstract touch. He has very recently made Aliyah with his wife and 8 children and has marked this chapter in his life with a series of holy, key figures that have helped shape our traditions and beliefs. He hopes to continue building his vision based on the inspiration of our people and this beautiful land.
