Claude Venard (1913-1999)

Claude Venard was born in Burgundy in 1913.

Claude Venard became known for his rich impasto, and varying textures of thick layers.  He is a post-cubist French painter of still lifes and landscapes, combining abstraction and naturalism.  he used vibrant and strong colors, often applied with a palette knife to achieve a rich impasto.

Claude Venard  had many solo exhibitions all over the world.
